Chanukkiyah Lighting 2025 | Mount Sinai
Join us as we light the chanukkiyah at Mount Sinai Hospital.
We will light the first candle on Sunday, December 14 and the eight candle on Sunday, December 21.
Special community lighting on December 15
On Monday, December 15 at 4:45 p.m., we invite you to a special community lighting, sponsored by the Sinai Health Foundation and led by Sinai Health’s department of Spiritual Care. Members of the Hershenhorn family, who generously donated the chanukkiyah to the Hospital in 2002 in memory of Kelly Hershenhorn (z”l), will join us to kindle the lights. Latkes and other treats will be served.
Candle lighting opportunities on December 14 and 16 to 21
For the remaining seven nights, we warmly invite Sinai Health people to take part in lighting the candles, each day at 4 p.m. We will provide candles, matches and a guide to the blessings. If you are interested in participating, please contact Rabbi Michael Latz at [email protected].
We hope you will join us in bringing light, community and warmth this season.
