Every day our people at Sinai Health are doing extraordinary things as we focus our efforts on COVID-19. Captured Caring is a series featuring submissions from our people to provide you with inspiration and encouragement as we care for patients and each other. “Over the Easter weekend Bridgepoint’s Therapeutic Recreation team surprised patients with decorative eggs, containing inspirational messages. The giveaways provided patients with a sense of joy, an opportunity to reflect over the holidays, and a feeling of support during this unprecedented time.”

“Theresa Shiel works the door as Team Lead every morning at 6 a.m. and leads the amazing team of door screeners who exude our values of Service and Humanity by cheerfully greeting our people as they arrive at work. She even managed to get some adorable bunnies to work the door! Thank you, Theresa and all the wonderful door screeners. You make a HUGE difference!”

“I was a Team Lead (Access & Screening) on The hospital entrance with a rainbow and the words Thank You drawn on the pavement in front of the doorsGood Friday. Near the end of my shift, I popped my head out of the door and noticed this colourful sidewalk art. A simple gesture that has so much meaning, especially for those of us that cannot see family over the holiday weekend.”

“It’s truly uplifting to see team work at its best around patient care. This is very evident whenever 11 South has a patient to be transferred back to bed or a stretcher or for emergencies. Our teams move like a sophisticated well-oiled engine to help out and assist. A thing of wonder for the viewer, but an everyday routine for them. I’m so fortunate to see them at the noble work of helping people.”
