Dr. Goldberg completed his general practice residency at Mount Sinai, and earned his dental degree and Masters of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. He has been a member of staff at Mount Sinai since 1997, with interests in periodontics and facial pain.

Dr. Goldberg is an Associate Professor and Director of the Severe and Refractory Periodontal Disease Research and Treatment Unit at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, which focuses on the diagnosis and development of treatment strategies for difficult periodontal conditions. His research involves the diagnosis and management of severe and refractory periodontal disease, peri-implant diseases and chronic orofacial pain, and the connections between oral health and systemic health.
