Honey Sherman

Honey Sherman is an active community board member and volunteer who is currently a member of the board of Baycrest and York University Foundation. Honey also serves on the boards of Mount Sinai’s Women’s Auxiliary, The Simon Wiesenthal Center and the International American Joint Distribution Committee.

In addition, Honey is the past Chair of the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto and is also past Chair of the UJA Federation Campaign 2006, sitting Chair of Israel and Overseas Committee, as well as the former Chair of the Holocaust Education Center.

Honey holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto.

Honey and her husband, Dr. Barry Sherman, established the Apotex Foundation in 1984 to support a wide range of causes in Canada and globally, for which they were honoured with the award for Outstanding Philanthropist by The Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Toronto.
