Meditation: Progressive Muscle Relaxation | Virtual
This guided meditation focuses on physical relaxation for the mind and body, through the meditative technique of Progressive Muscle Relaxation. It begins with a short intro on the benefits of awareness, relaxation and grounding for body tension and stress, as well as tips for practice. In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we will join the Woodland Cultural Centre for a virtual tour of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School located in Brantford, Ontario. We will learn about the history of the school from its opening in 1831, until its closure in 1970. Participants will see different rooms inside the school and hear testimonies from five Survivors.
