On May 2, we launched broad engagement with our people, patients and community to help realize the promise of Sinai Health and build our next five-year strategic plan. A key part of this engagement is our Strategy Core Team. This group will act as ambassadors and key informants for the duration of our strategic planning process. The Team is made up of employees, physicians, scientists, volunteers, patients and families from Bridgepoint Active Healthcare, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital and our system partner Circle of Care.

At a launch meeting, Core Team members participated in a set of early exploration questions in small teams and then reflected on the process as a larger group. The energy in the room was palpable as the team celebrated achievements from that last five years, and started to look forward to what we will be able to say about Sinai Health five years from now.

Over the next six weeks, members of the Strategy Core Team will support our efforts to have broad consultations internally and externally by conducting interviews with their peers, colleagues, patients and partners. So if you receive an invitation from a member to be interviewed, think of it as opportunity to have your say. The more informed they are, the better our strategy is going to be.

Interviews are not the only way to participate. You can also answer one of a series of questions, like this one: “What is the best kept secret about Sinai Health?” or sign-up for one of our open focus group sessions via eventbrite.
