Matthew (Matt) Cockburn

Matt Cockburn is the managing partner of Torys LLP, one of Canada’s leading law firms. Matt is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction and client focus, as well as for all professional and administrative matters. Prior to becoming the managing partner in April 2020, he practiced corporate law at Torys for 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School and Queen’s University. Matt previously served for 10 years on the board of Special Olympics Ontario, including as Chair of the Board for four years.
