Margot Silverstein

As Account Manager for XMC, Margot carries out experiential marketing responsibilities for the Campari Group. She previously worked for Sinai Health Foundation where she progressed through several roles to become Development Officer with the Signature Events, Engagement and Partnerships team. She led various events in the portfolio there, including Future Sinai’s very own Sinai Soiree and Recovery Brunch.

Tal Schwartz

Tal has years of experience advising Canadian regulators, banks, and fintech companies on financial products and policy. Currently, Tal is a Senior Product Manager at Nomis. Previously, he was Head of Policy and Research for the Canadian Lenders Association. Tal is the author of the popular newsletter, Canadian Fintech and also runs various industry events across the country.

Rachel Ryman

Rachel Ryman, CPA, CA, CBV is a Director in Deloitte’s Dispute Advisory Services team, where she authors expert reports quantifying economic losses for commercial litigation. In 2019, Rachel received CPA Ontario’s Emerging Leaders Award, which recognizes CPAs age 34 and under that are shaping the future of the profession. Each recipient is nominated by their peers for making significant contributions to both their work place and the community. Rachel is actively involved in volunteer initiatives including Deloitte’s Green Champions Network and she is excited to be a part of the Future Sinai board and community.

Lauren Ball

Lauren is an Event Specialist at Deloitte, and spent the early part of her career organizing high-touch fundraising events in the not-for-profit sector. Lauren will be applying her skills in logistics and strategic event planning in her role as co-chair for the Hot Topics event series. Over the years Lauren has seen firsthand the impact Sinai Health donors, supporters, and volunteers have had on the community and is excited to help contribute to the organizations goals. For Lauren, Future Sinai demonstrates the power of young people coming together to make a difference in shaping the world around them, and their future.

Candace Steinhart

Candace Steinhart has been the Communications Manager at Mejuri, the global fine jewelry brand, since 2019. Previously, she worked at boutique PR agencies with a focus on fashion and beauty clients. Her passion lies in developing strategies for securing impactful and brand propelling press coverage. Candace earned her B.A. from McGill University and Postgraduate Degree in Public Relations from Humber College. In her personal life, Candace was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and volunteered as a Youth Ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where she received the Youth Leadership Award. Mount Sinai Hospital continues to be her main point of diabetes healthcare, and she looks forward to supporting Future Sinai in any way she can.

Senth Sivakumaran

Senth is currently a Sr. Growth Marketing Manager at RBC where he focuses on helping grow two of the portfolio companies housed within the Ventures group and P&CB, respectively. With 7 years of experience within the startup/technology industry, his career has spanned from software to consumer goods. He looks to bring his expertise to help Future Sinai grow its presence as an organization from the lens of marketing.

Akash Goyal

Akash is currently a Director at Echelon Capital Markets, Investment Banking in Toronto and has over 10 years of experience. He helps lead the Debt Advisory group focusing on helping corporate clients raise institutional debt capital.

Aman is a two-time entrepreneur turned venture capitalist, with a background in aerospace engineering. He brings experience in operations, management, and finance to the future Sinai board as a leader on the sponsorships team.

Tori is currently a Merchandise Planner at SSENSE. Prior to that, she worked at TJX Canada for five years and completed her BA at McGill University. Tori is a nationally ranked horseback rider and has a deep love for all animals.

Sasha is a lawyer in the Real Estate Group at Goodmans LLP. Prior to practicing law, he completed his BA at McGill University and his JD/MBA at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business.

Yasmeen Dawoodjee

Yasmeen is currently an HR Business Partner at CHANEL Canada, with a background spanning over 7+ years in the HR profession, gaining experience in diverse industries, such as technology, food services, and film & post-production. She is a graduate of McGill University, where she completed her BSc, and had the rewarding experience of captaining the McGill Women's Volleyball team. With a strong commitment to giving back, Yasmeen actively leads Employee Giving Programs/Committees at her workplace and enjoys volunteering her time in various community-based opportunities.

Before Padder, Daniel worked in Product, Operations and Strategy across Fintech, Insurtech, and Telecommunication industries. Daniel enjoys being active, cooking, and music when not at work.

Darian Zigante

Darian is an investor with Wittington Ventures, specializing in commerce, health technology and sustainability. He has contributed his leadership, research and development expertise to multiple industries throughout his career, including consumer technology, agricultural technology and advanced manufacturing. Darian received his Bachelor of Arts in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Matthew is an Associate in the Investment Banking division at Echelon Capital Markets, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt and equity financing assignments across various industries. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Finance and Economics from the Rotman Commerce program at the University of Toronto.

I am a 2nd year Master's Student conducting cancer research in Anne-Claude Gingras' lab in the department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto. I always had an interest in making science more accessible to the general public. I believe that proper science communication is the key to reducing science misinformation and is also crucial for informing the community around us about the cutting-edge research that occurs at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute.
