Daniel Sonshine
Daniel Sonshine is the Managing Partner of TorQuest Partners, a Toronto-based, Canada-focussed private equity firm. Daniel is responsible for providing leadership to all aspects of the firm. Since joining TorQuest in 2004, Daniel has led many investments, mostly focussed on industrials and consumer products and was previously Chairman of the Investment Committee. Daniel continues to sit on a number of the portfolio company Board of Directors and is the lead Director on Can Art Aluminum Extrusions, North West Rubber and Mevotech. From 2001 to 2004, Daniel worked at CIBC Capital Partners, where he was involved in various private equity and subordinated debt transactions. In addition to the Sinai Health Foundation, Daniel is actively involved with the United Jewish Appeal.
Daniel graduated as the Gold Medalist from the combined J.D./M.B.A. program at the University of Toronto and received an A.B. (cum laude) in Economics from Harvard University.
