For more than 30 years, the Mount Sinai Classic golf tournament has been bringing our community together in support of life-changing care and research – making it the longest running fundraising event in our history.

On Monday, August 10, golfers gathered once more at the beautiful Magna Golf Course in Aurora, to continue building upon the tournament's legacy and impact by raising more than $700,000. This means that since the event began in 1994, it has raised an impressive $16 million.

Proceeds from the event will support the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) – Sinai Health's engine of innovation and discovery. Its team of world-class scientists are tackling questions that will lead to better care outcomes for patients across the life span.

"We are deeply grateful to the committee of volunteers who continue to help us reimagine the future of health care through their dedication to this event," says Louis de Melo, President and CEO of Sinai Health Foundation. "Every day our researchers are working to achieve breakthroughs that can change the way we think about and treat diseases like cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's and more. The support of events like the Classic provides consistent, stable funding that helps fuel these groundbreaking discoveries."

The guests who attended the tournament enjoyed a full day of golf, a curated silent auction, and the debut of the Last Wedge Standing contest, hosted by longtime broadcaster and famed voice of the Toronto Raptors, Jack Armstrong. Congratulations to Paul Miatello, who hit the shot closest to the pin to claim the title and take home a prize for his foursome.

Sinai Health Foundation is thankful to our Presenting sponsors, EQ Bank and Peerage Capital Partners, as well as to all the other sponsors, donors, committee members, volunteers and golfers who made this event a success. A very special thank you goes out to our Event Co-Chairs, Shane Grosman, Jamie Grossman and Joshua Sonshine.

We look forward to welcoming you back in 2027 for the 33rd Annual Mount Sinai Classic!
