Have you rolled up your sleeve for the flu shot yet? Sinai Health System has seen three confirmed cases of influenza in hospital patients so far. There have also been two outbreaks of influenza in Toronto long-term care facilities, according to data from Toronto Public Health.
The sooner you get your flu shot, the sooner you’re protected. The annual influenza prevention campaign is on in full force. So far, 47 per cent of employees at Mount Sinai Hospital and 34 per cent at Bridgepoint have received the flu shot—even some visiting medieval knights stopped by to get their vaccines from one of our clinics!
The travelling carts are continuing to circulate to units and areas at Bridgepoint and Mount Sinai Hospital. Employees can book a travelling cart by contacting [email protected]. Check the Mount Sinai Hospital Intranet or the Bridgepoint portal for more info on the flu shot.
