Dr. Christine Soong, Dr. Hedieh Molla Ghanbari and Dr. Jordan Pelc

Since announcing the new Hospital Medicine Division led by Dr. Christine Soong earlier this spring, the hospitalist team has established leadership at both of its campuses.

Last week, Dr. Soong warmly welcomed Dr. Hedieh Molla Ghanbari as the Mount Sinai Hospital Medicine Lead.  Dr. Ghanbari is well positioned to expand the hospitalist service and quality initiatives at Mount Sinai. She joined Sinai Health System three years ago as an academic hospitalist working across both of our campuses with a focus on education and quality initiatives.  In that time, she has led quality initiatives on the hip fracture co-management service, in addition to presenting and disseminating the results at national meetings.

She will work closely with Dr. Soong and Dr. Jordan Pelc, who became the site lead at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare in July.  Dr. Pelc joined Sinai Health System two years ago as the first academic hospitalist working across both of our campuses, and has also focused on education and quality initiatives.

Dr. Soong, Dr. Ghanbari and Dr. Pelc will work with the hospitalist team across Sinai Health, providing clinical, academic, and administrative leadership to ensure a cohesive, academic program in hospital medicine.
