Abstract:
This presentation will discuss the responsibility that health-care organizations have in creating, maintaining, and promoting a positive moral culture. It will present experiences, theories, examples, and tools that can be helpful. Various concepts and methods can be used to achieve this goal, also requiring that all individuals at all levels of a hospital play a pivotal role. In doing this, everyone benefits: patients receive effective and compassionate care, employees experience a sense of pride in their work, and the community being served develops a trusting relationship with the organization.
