This presentation offers a comprehensive overview of Islamic bioethics, covering fundamental terminology, sources, the process of deriving religious rulings, and relevant institutions. It delves into the Islamic perspective on death and brain death, followed by an exploration of life-sustaining treatments, addressing the permissibility and prohibition of withholding/withdrawing CPR, mechanical ventilation, and artificial nutrition and hydration (ANH). Additionally, the presentation touches on palliative care, emphasizing the significance of the choice between dying with a clear mind or opting for palliative sedation. It concludes by examining the conditions governing organ donation.
