Founder and Chairman, Onex Corporation 

Mr. Schwartz, a native of Winnipeg, Canada, received his B. Comm. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Manitoba and his MBA degree from Harvard University. He has been awarded Honourary Doctoral degrees from six universities.

He founded Onex in 1984.

Onex has approximately US$51 billion of assets under management including US$8 billion of its own capital. It manages and invests capital on behalf of shareholders, institutional investors and high net worth clients from around the world. Onex’s principal offices are in Toronto, New York, New Jersey, Boston and London. Its shares trade on the TSX under the stock symbol ONEX.

Mr. Schwartz is a Chairman, Director or Governor of a number of civic, philanthropic and business organizations.

In 2004, Mr. Schwartz was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and in 2006 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.

He is married to Heather Reisman and has four children and eleven grandchildren.
