Research model

This model outlines three major shifts in how we conduct and support research to achieve our vision. The descriptions appear below.

A bold new era

To achieve our vision, we are making three strategic shifts in how research is organized and supported across Sinai Health:

Creating one home for all research – Sinai Health Research. This will bring all researchers together, making it easier to collaborate, share resources and access the support needed to turn ideas into impact.

Organizing our research activities into three interconnected domains: Discovery and translational (home of LTRI), clinical and disease-focused, and population health, health systems and implementation.

Current programs will be aligned within these domains and supported through targeted infrastructure, talent and partnerships.

Defining three thematic areas where Sinai Health has demonstrated exceptional research strength: Women’s and infants’ health; oncology; and inflammatory conditions. These will serve as launch pads for collaboration and large-scale, cross-domain research to strengthen Sinai Health’s impact and identity.
