Library Services
Library Services at Sinai Health provides access to published evidence, health information and educational resources across four centres. Our dedicated team of information specialists and library technicians supports our people, physicians, scientists, learners, patients, families and caregivers.
Our librarians can help with:
- Researching clinical topics, literature and systematic reviews
- Training on health science database searches
- Finding resources for clinical practice and patient education
- Arranging electronic or physical delivery of materials from other libraries
- Health, wellness and leisure resources for patients, families and caregivers
Mount Sinai Hospital libraries and student centre
The Sidney Liswood Library is a clinical and research resource that supports Mount Sinai staff and learners. The library’s mission is to provide an enhanced learning environment and information services to improve patient care across the Sinai Health community.

The Stupp/Cohen Patient Education Pavilion provides current, reliable health information for patients, families and members of their care team.
In the pavilion, you can:
- Learn how to find high-quality health information online
- Access print and online brochures on health conditions
- Get one-on-one help from a librarian to find health information
- Learn about health-care services and programs provided by Mount Sinai

The Sydney and Florence Cooper Family Centre is the educational home to undergraduate medical students from the Wightman-Berris Academy at the University of Toronto, and other health professional trainees from Mount Sinai.
The Cooper Centre is a vital hub for interprofessional education, fostering collaboration among health professionals and supporting patient-centred care. It hosts diverse learning activities ranging from one-on-one interactions to virtual seminars, with state-of-the-art resources including computer labs and wireless technology.
The centre serves students from all health profession discipline programs, including:

- Nutrition
- Pathology and laboratory medicine

Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital libraries
The Health Science Library is an education and resource centre for staff and learners. It supports work related to patient care, research, interprofessional collaboration and coursework.

Sinai Health offers a selection of spaces for learners to spend time, study and access technology resources.
Mount Sinai
When weather permits, learners are encouraged to take meal breaks outdoors. If eating indoors, the Cooper Centre is the preferred option.
