Patient Meals at Mount Sinai Hospital

Our new state-of-the-art kitchen serves a variety of nutritious meals to patients.

What we do

A healthy and wholesome diet is essential to the healing process. At Mount Sinai Hospital, our new, state-of-the-art kitchen allows us to offer a wide variety of nutritious patient meals.

Our new kitchen features streamlined, energy-saving equipment that produces an expanded selection of menu options and serves 900 patient meals a day.

Patient meals

Mount Sinai is proud to serve a diverse community and can provide accommodations to meet a variety of dietary needs. Special meal requests are available.

Our menus offer a range of choices that reflect the cultural diversity of the city itself.

We use innovative software to match patients with personalized menus based on the dietary preferences, restrictions or traditional diets.

Patients will receive a menu that allows them to choose their meals for the upcoming day. We offer choices for a cold continental breakfast and a hot lunch and dinner.

Special nutrition services

Depending on your condition, you may need a therapeutic diet in addition to your medical treatment. A registered dietitian will meet with you to talk about your dietary needs.

You can request a visit from a registered dietitian or diet technician through your care team or on the patient menu order form.

Quality control

To ensure safety, we have made sure stringent quality control measures are in place.

Patient satisfaction surveys provide us with valuable feedback and help us identify opportunities to improve.
