Uninsured services
Some health-care services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) or other insurance. This varies from person to person, depending on the personal health-care coverage you have.
If you are a resident of Ontario, please be aware that these services are not covered by OHIP:
- Ambulance services
- Preferred accommodations (semi-private or private rooms)
- Medical devices (such as, boots, crutches and collars)
Payment options
We accept many different payment options, including Visa and MasterCard, American Express, debit and cash can be accepted in person at the cashier's office.
Pay in person
Before you leave the hospital, we ask that you please visit the cashier's office to settle your accounts. We accept any type of credit card, debit card or cash at this location. We are located at 600 University Avenue on the main level near the Murray Street entrance.

Monday to Friday
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The office is closed between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Closed on all statutory holidays.

Please direct all payment inquiries to the Accounts Receivable Specialist using the email or phone number referenced on your original invoice.
Pay online
Please note we only accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards. We are unable to accept debit cards and American Express for online payments.
You will require your invoice number from your bill to make a payment.
