What to expect
Before you see a neurologist at our clinic, you may need to go for diagnostic testing. We will let you know if this is required.
During your appointment, a neurologist will review your medical history and perform a neurological exam.
Depending on your needs, the neurologist may order additional tests including bloodwork, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test or computer tomography (CT) scan.
Some procedures, such as nerve blocks and botulinum toxin (Botox) injections, can be done in the clinic on the day of your appointment.
After your first appointment, the neurologist will send recommendations to your primary care physician so they can help you manage your symptoms. Depending on your specific needs, you may be monitored by our neurologist over a period of time.
