Katrina Dekirmendjian
Katrina Dekirmendjian is a Canadian certified physician assistant. She graduated from the Consortium of Physician Assistant Education at the University of Toronto. Prior to her enrollment in this professional program, she graduated Magna Cum Laude honours from North Park University in Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training.
Following her undergraduate studies, Katrina completed a year-long athletic training residency program with the Orthopaedic Teaching and Research Foundation in Chicago. In this role, she served as a physician extender and surgical assist to a sports medicine physician and orthopaedic surgeon. During this training period, she became certified as an orthopaedic technologist specializing in the fitting and application of immobilization devices.
Katrina’s passion for health and wellness developed at a young age through her participation in various sports. During her undergraduate years, she was the captain of her women’s National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) soccer team. Her ultimate career goal was to promote healthy living through physical activity.
As a physician assistant with a focus in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery, Katrina specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries. She is also a surgical first assist to the orthopaedic surgeons at the sports medicine clinic. Katrina’s primary goal is to deliver patient-centered care to return patients to the activities they love.
