Overview

Dr. Claire Jones is a reproductive endocrinologist at Mount Sinai Fertility and an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto (U of T). She also serves as program director for the Gynaecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility residency program at U of T, guiding the next generation of fertility specialists.

Patient care is at the heart of Dr. Jones’s practice. She listens closely to understand each person’s needs and values, and tailors treatment plans to honour what matters most to them. She is known for her thoughtful, empathetic approach to fertility care.

Dr. Jones is also deeply engaged in research and education. She leads studies funded by her department and university to improve patient experiences and outcomes in fertility treatment. She co-developed Choosing Wisely Canada’s list of fertility and andrology recommendations, which seeks to reduce unnecessary fertility tests and treatments. It promotes streamlined, people-centred care.

Dr. Jones’ academic efforts are complemented by a strong commitment to research and education. She earned departmental recognition for excellence in postgraduate development and innovation, and has succeeded in producing many peer-reviewed publications on fertility medicine, resource stewardship and medical education.
