Overview
Dr. M. Jonathon Solnik is an internationally recognized gynaecologic surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital, part of Sinai Health, where he leads the Division of Gynaecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He specializes in advanced minimally invasive surgery for complex benign gynaecologic conditions, including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adnexal pathology, chronic pelvic pain, and anatomy-driven, nerve-sparing surgical techniques.
Dr. Solnik is recognized for his expertise in pelvic neuroanatomy, complex laparoscopic surgery and surgical education. He works with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care for people with complex gynaecologic conditions, prioritizing minimally invasive approaches that support faster recovery and better outcomes.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Solnik is involved in research, guideline development and surgical innovation. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and international practice guidelines, and is a frequent invited speaker and educator at national and international meetings.
A Toronto native, Dr. Solnik completed his training and built his career in the United States before returning to Canada in 2015.
