Overview
Dr. Kristin Harris is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and Head of the Medical Disorders of Pregnancy Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Toronto (U of T), followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine. She is an assistant professor at U of T.
Dr. Harris specializes in complex maternal and fetal obstetrical care, with a particular interest in complex obstetrical surgery, obesity in pregnancy, liver disorders, malignancy, and antibiotic stewardship in the context of infectious diseases in pregnancy. She is medical lead for the Wound Care team and fellowship director for the Medical Disorders of Pregnancy and Pregnancy and Obesity Medicine programs.
She is an active member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada’s (SOGC) Guideline Management and Oversight Committee and contributes to provincial and local networks for patients living with obesity. This work aligns with her enthusiasm for teaching and improving knowledge translation for patients and health-care providers.
