Overview

Dr. Miguel Russo is a dedicated reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) specialist at Mount Sinai Fertility and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto (U of T). He completed his Royal College fellowship in gynaecologic reproductive endocrinology and infertility (GREI), establishing the foundation for an evidence-based, patient-centred approach to fertility care.

Dr. Russo focuses on individualized care and works collaboratively with patients and their caregivers to craft thoughtfully tailored treatment options. Post City Magazine has named him one of Toronto’s “Top Doctors” in reproductive health for three years in a row (2023–2025).

Dr. Russo has received several research grants and published many scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his work at the national and international level.

His current clinical and research interests include evidence-based in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment protocols, reproductive surgery and fertility preservation, including ovarian tissue cryopreservation.

Beyond his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Russo is an active member of both the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He also holds a cross-appointment with the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at U of T, where he teaches clinical embryology to students in the Master of Health Sciences program in laboratory medicine.
