Overview

Dr. Nigel Pereira is a clinician-investigator at Mount Sinai Fertility and an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. He holds Royal College subspecialty certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (GREI) and completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Center for Reproductive Medicine in New York. He also holds certification in andrology and embryology from the American Association of Bioanalysts.

Dr. Pereira provides individualized, evidence-based fertility care, with expertise in in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovulation induction, fertility preservation, reproductive surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and the treatment of recurrent pregnancy loss and gamete dysfunction. He is known for his warm, inclusive approach and ability to support patients through complex fertility journeys. He offers care in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, Konkani and medical Arabic.

A dedicated clinician and researcher, Dr. Pereira has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications on topics including IVF outcomes, surgical innovation, fertility preservation, and long-term health outcomes following assisted reproductive technologies. His academic and clinical work continues to shape best practices in fertility care across Canada and beyond.
