Dr. Michael Goldberg
Dr. Michael Goldberg is Dentist-in-Chief and Head of Periodontics at Sinai Health. He is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto.
Education
Dr. Goldberg earned his dental degree and Masters of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. He completed his general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Initiatives
As Director of the Severe and Refractory Periodontal Disease Research and Treatment Unit clinic at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, he led the expansion of the clinic to include the assessment and management of peri-implantitis and peri-implant mucositis conditions that affect patients with dental implants.
Research
Dr. Goldberg’s research focuses on the diagnosis and management of severe and refractory periodontal disease, peri-implant diseases and chronic orofacial pain, and the connections between oral health and systemic health. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals on these topics.

Awards and Recognition
