We diagnose and treat skin conditions that affect the vulva and surrounding area.
What we do
Our gynaecologist specializes in diagnosing and treating skin conditions that affect the vulva and surrounding area.

What to expect
At your first appointment, a gynaecologist will ask about your medical history and symptoms, and perform a physical exam.
The gynaecologist may ask to take a photograph to include in your medical chart to help monitor your condition and track improvement.
We may also recommend a biopsy, where a small tissue sample is removed and tested in a lab. Biopsies can be performed in our clinic during your appointment.
The gynaecologist will work with you to decide on a care plan specific to your needs. Your treatment may include:
- A topical steroid cream applied to the area
- A topical estrogen cream applied to the area
- Antihistamine medication to reduce itching
- Referral to another specialist, if needed
After the first visit, most patients can follow up with their referring physician to monitor their condition.
Please note that we are a teaching hospital, so you may see medical students, residents, fellows or other medical trainees as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of our dedicated care team who work together to provide you with comprehensive care.
