Dr. Akshay Verma

Dr. Akshay Verma is a family physician at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University of Toronto (U of T). He completed his medical degree at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom before moving to Toronto for his family medicine residency at Mount Sinai. He later completed a fellowship in low-risk obstetrics through U of T.

Dr. Verma is passionate about undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, with a focus on reflective and evidence-informed clinical practice. His academic and research interests focus on improving education and access related to reproductive well-being, including family planning. At Mount Sinai, Dr. Verma provides comprehensive family medicine and obstetrical care. He also contributes to curriculum development and teaching within the Family Medicine Residency Program.
