Dr. Daniela Keren
Dr. Keren is an academic family physician at Sinai Health and an assistant professor at the University of Toronto. She earned her medical degree at the University of Calgary and completed her family medicine residency at Western University in London, Ont. She also completed a family medicine–obstetrics fellowship at Western. She practices comprehensive family medicine, including full-scope maternity care. Before joining the team at Mount Sinai, Dr. Keren was an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University. She also served as the curriculum director for the university's Family Medicine residency program.
Dr. Keren is passionate about medical teaching and research in medical education. She holds a master's degree in medical education from the University of Calgary and is completing a PhD in health professions education at Maastricht University. Her research interests include women's sexual and reproductive health, self-directed learning in undergraduate medical education, teaching in family medicine residency, and medical learners' personal experiences with illness. She currently serves as the maternity care/women's health lead and academic half-day curriculum lead for the Family Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai Hospital.
