Dr. Gevik Malkhassian
Endontics
Dr. Malkhassian is a Specialist in Endodontics and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of dentistry, University of Toronto. He is a fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He received his first dental degree (DDS) in 1990. After completion of a two year program at the University of Toronto (2004) for foreign trained dentists, he continued his education at the graduate Endodontics program at the University of Toronto and graduated with MSc degree in 2007. Since then, Dr. Malkhassian has kept his affiliation with the Endodontics program while practicing as an Endodontist in Toronto and Mississauga. He is involved in teaching both graduate and undergraduate levels and currently is the director of the IDAPP (International Dentist Advanced Placement Program) and the director of Second year Endodontics courses at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He has received several awards from Graduate and undergraduate students including Dr. A. Bruce Hord Master Teacher Award for excellence in teaching in 2015-2016. He has been a member of several research committees for graduate endodontic residents. He has co-authored scientific publications and textbook chapters. He serves as a reviewer for dental and endodontic journals. He is a member of several Dental and Endodontics organizations such as Canadian Academy of Endodontics. Gevik is a father of one who enjoys cycling and spending time with his family and friends.
