Land acknowledgements are well-meaning, but often received as empty words by many Indigenous folks. 

To better understand why, it’s important to know the history of land acknowledgements, their traditional role, and how to personalize them to be thoughtful reflections.

Jenna Robar, Indigenous Knowledge Holder, will offer insights on the practice of drafting and delivering meaningful land acknowledgements in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation this month.
