Every day our people at Sinai Health are doing extraordinary things. Captured Caring is a series featuring submissions from our people to provide you with inspiration and encouragement as we care for patients and each other. Have your own story or photo to share? Submit it here.

“Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital created a six animated video stroke education series based on the education sessions provided to patients and caregivers on the stroke rehabilitation unit. One of the videos, Swallowing & Communication After Stroke has now surpassed 50,000 views! Support from a Science of Care grant allows the project team to focus on the spread and scale of the videos, including access to the videos in Cantonese, Mandarin and Italian, which are currently available on our website. In addition, the French, Arabic and Portuguese versions of the video will be available soon. The goal of this project is to provide equitable access to stroke education.”

In January, a blizzard made it difficult for employees, physicians and learners to get to work. This month our people have been contending with road closures and transit route disruptions throughout the city. Thank you to everyone for doing your best to arrive for your shifts under these circumstances. We appreciate your dedication and professionalism!
