Improved patient care in brand new Ophthalmology facility

Mount Sinai Hospital’s Ophthalmology Clinic recently began to see patients in its new, state-of-the-art facility located at 60 Murray.

The Eye Clinic and Ocular Functions Unit (previously located on different floors at 600 University Avenue) have merged with the existing Oculoplastics Unit at 60 Murray.

The new Ophthalmology Clinic, which had 21,683 clinical visits in 2017, will integrate ocular imaging, diagnostic examinations, laser treatments and minor eye surgery all into one facility. This integration will improve the experience for patients whose eye care needs will now be met in one location, rather than three separate facilities spread out over different floors and buildings.

This re-location is also an early step in our vision to transform Mount Sinai’s 4th floor into an ambulatory care space where patients will receive a variety of services in one multi-functional clinical setting.
