The Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture recently honoured Drs. Clare Pain and Lisa Andermann with the Amina Malko Award for their significant contribution to policy, advocacy and settlement service for traumatized refugees.
Dr. Pain is the Director of Mount Sinai’s Psychological Trauma Program, where Dr. Andermann is a Staff Psychiatrist, and both have also worked at the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture for more than 30 years combined. At this local non-profit agency, they bring their expertise in trauma to the community, and support and counsel refugees who were victims of torture.
Congratulations to Drs. Pain and Andermann for being recognized for this important and inspiring work. Read more in a recent Toronto Star story.
