Sinai Health’s annual People Appreciation BBQs brought a little disco fever to daylight this week giving employees, physicians, scientists, learners and volunteers a chance to enjoy food, music, raffles and time together. Held at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital on June 2 and Mount Sinai Hospital on June 4, the celebrations recognized the people who make Sinai Health shine.

The annual events are an opportunity to pause and celebrate our people who help make Sinai Health a place of exceptional care, discovery and connection.

This year’s theme, “disco by daylight,” brought a bright and energetic feel to the celebrations. Guests enjoyed DJ music, a photo booth, multiple raffles and a lively lineup of entertainment throughout the events.

Disco-head dancers kept the crowd moving with choreographed performances, while stilt walkers brought the drama as disco divas, adding sparkle, height and plenty of photo-worthy moments to the afternoon.

The events also included a number of raffles hosted by Rob, a long-time Sinai Health employee and expert emcee. Guests were invited to answer questions for a chance to win gift cards, bringing some friendly competition and extra excitement to the celebration.

Across both sites, colleagues had the chance to enjoy a meal, reconnect with teammates and take part in a well-deserved moment of appreciation. Our People Appreciation BBQs continue to be a meaningful Sinai Health tradition, recognizing the people whose dedication, compassion and teamwork support patients, families and one another every day.

Sinai Health extends a special thank you to the Sinai Health Foundation for its generous support of this year’s People Appreciation BBQs, and to Cesar Calero, Manager, Well-Being Programs, for his creative planning skills in bringing these events to life.
