Overview

Dr. Marcus Bernardini is Division Head of Gynaecologic Oncology at Sinai Health and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network (UHN), and an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto (U of T).

Dr. Bernardini completed his residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at U of T, where he also earned a Master of Science in laboratory medicine and pathobiology. He went on to complete a combined fellowship in gynaecologic oncology at U of T and Duke University Medical Center, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management, U of T.

He leads the UHN Robotic Surgery Program and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. His research aims to improve outcomes for patients with endometrial and ovarian cancers, with a focus on minimizing surgical morbidity, refining the classification of high-risk endometrial cancer, and enhancing risk stratification for patients at increased risk of developing ovarian cancer.
