Overview

Dr. Oleg Safir is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. He graduated from the Medical Academy in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. In 2002, Dr. Safir completed his training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tel Aviv in Israel. He has wide experience treating paediatric and adult patients. In 2006, he completed two years of clinical and one year of research fellowships in adult lower extremity reconstruction at Mount Sinai. He completed his master’s degree (MEd) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) and fellowship at the Wilson Centre for Research in Education in 2009 at the University of Toronto.

Currently, Dr. Safir is running a full-time clinical practice in Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai. In addition, Dr. Oleg Safir is the D.H. Gales Director at the Surgical Skills Centre.
