Overview

Dr. Rebecca Menzies is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Mount Sinai Hospital and an assistant professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Toronto (U of T). She completed her medical degree and master’s degree at U of T, followed by residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine.

Her primary clinical focus is the prevention of preterm birth. Dr. Menzies provides specialized care for pregnant patients at high risk of preterm delivery and leads a virtual pre-pregnancy consultation clinic for individuals with an increased risk of spontaneous preterm birth. She also provides care for twin and triplet pregnancies and low-risk obstetrical patients.

At Mount Sinai, Dr. Menzies serves as Clerkship Coordinator, overseeing the obstetrics and gynaecology clinical rotation for third-year U of T medical students, and is actively involved in medical education. Her research focuses on preterm birth prevention, including the role of cervical cerclage, peri-viability, and the management of multiple pregnancies. Through her clinical, educational, and research activities, she is committed to advancing maternal and fetal health and improving outcomes for patients and their families.
