Dr. Samik Doshi is a General Internal Medicine (GIM) physician at Mount Sinai Hospital and assistant professor at the University of Toronto. He cares for patients on the inpatient GIM wards, the medical consultation service for surgical patients, and in the outpatient GIM clinic.

Dr. Doshi completed his medical school training, internal medicine residency, and GIM fellowship at the University of Toronto. During training, he held several leadership roles: president of the University of Toronto medical school class of 2018, representative on the Professional Association of Residents of Ontario, and Chief Resident of the GIM Fellowship Program (2022–23). He holds a Master of Science in Health Systems Leadership and Innovation from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME).

His academic interests include teaching, improving quality of care in GIM, and developing new models of care. Dr. Doshi directs the Mount Sinai GIM clinic, which provides urgent outpatient internal medicine care and follow-up for complex patients discharged from hospital. He leads the Mount Sinai GIM quality of care rounds, using recent patient cases to build a culture of continuous improvement, and serves as the hospital representative for the General Medicine Quality Improvement Network (GEMQIN).
