Ophthalmology
The Ophthalmology team at Mount Sinai Hospital diagnoses and treats a broad range of eye disorders and diseases.
More than 20,000 patients seek high-quality, compassionate care at our sub-specialty eye clinics each year. Our team treats the full spectrum of eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, retina disorders, adult strabismus and corneal disease. Our specialists also see patients who experience vision problems caused by the nervous system and perform surgeries around the eye.
Referrals are accepted from across the province for specialty diagnosis tests, such as ultrasound biomicroscopy. Surgeries take place at both Mount Sinai Hospital and with our community partner, Kensington Eye Institute.
We are fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Our department includes medical students, fellows and resident physicians.
