Prenatal Classes
The Prenatal Education Program at Mount Sinai Hospital offers many classes to help prepare you for childbirth and parenting. All classes are taught by experienced health-care providers.
Classes are held at 700 University Avenue, 9600 Bathurst Street or virtually on Zoom. A few days before the class, you will receive an email with a Zoom link and information about the course material.
Please book prenatal classes early in your second trimester, as they fill up quickly. The best time to take prenatal classes is between 28 and 37 weeks of pregnancy, except for our multiples (twins or more) class which should be taken between 24 and 29 weeks of pregnancy. You can take the "Preparing for Parenthood" class at any time before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
In addition to covering topics related to labour, birth and parenthood, our classes also cover infant feeding options. You should consider your options early in pregnancy so that you can make an informed decision once your baby arrives.
