employees enjoying holiday meal

Last week, Bridgepoint’s main floor auditorium transformed into a winter wonderland with twinkle lights, a roaring digital fireplace and a holiday choir for the annual Patient Holiday Meal. The event has run for 25 years and brings festive cheer to our community of patients and their caregivers.

David Narciso attended the meal with his mother Digna Narciso, a patient at Bridgepoint. They are grateful for the care they have received. “Bridgepoint is phenomenal. We’ve experienced many different health care institutions but we’ve enjoyed Bridgepoint in particular because family is very much a part of its care service,” said David.

The holiday meals are made possible through collaboration from different disciplines. Food Services organized a special three course feast. Recreational therapists, speech pathologists, dieticians and more were on hand to ensure patient comfort and safety. Our people also showed their support by volunteering their time to serve the meals.

Patricia Petruga, Library Technician at the Clinical Library and longtime holiday meal volunteer said it’s a privilege to help. “It’s important for me to volunteer every year because I enjoy working for our patients. I want to do anything I can to help make their time here with us full of joy.”

Thank you to all who helped make this special event possible.
