Val from Support Services and Asima from Recruitment at an external career fair.

Every day our people at Sinai Health are doing extraordinary things. Captured Caring is a series featuring submissions from our people to provide you with inspiration and encouragement as we care for patients and each other. Have your own story or photo to share? Submit it here.

“During the pandemic, we found this jumbo-size picture to colour as a means to de-stress. We stuck it up in our huddle room and staff could go in to colour at any time (huddle was prime colour time!!). Over several months, a blank page became a beautiful picture full of life. This picture is now hung up on our unit so that everyone who walks onto our unit can see it. Our team looks at this picture and thinks of the teamwork that kept us all together during the hardest months of the pandemic.”

“Through the COVID-19 pandemic we have had an increased need for new recruits and have worked with HR to help one another. When we have been short-staffed we recognized that our HR department was also stretched thin due to the workload from so many other departments. We collaborated in many ways helping one another with administrative tasks and supporting one another at Career Fairs. I would like to recognize Val from Support Services and Asima from our Recruitment team for representing Sinai Health together at the Durham Career Fair. Together we are better! It really showed potential prospects that we at Sinai Health are all responsible for demonstrating, displaying and living Sinai Health’s values and the cohesiveness between our teams is something we take pride in!”
