As 2020 draws to a close, we invited our people to express their gratitude through words and/or a photo, acknowledging the many ways we supported each other through this unprecedented year. Below is the second group of submissions. Check out the previous submissions here.

“I am thankful to have two great teams! Thanks to all the operators at both Switchboard & Locating at Sinai and Switchboard at Bridgepoint for your continued dedication and commitment during this unique time. With all the overwhelming calls related to the pandemic, paging and urgent Emergency Code calls, it is incredible to see you work.”

Refer to following text“This fall we welcomed over 100 nursing learners at Bridgepoint from September to December and supported their learning on all of our clinical units. Bridgepoint employees provided invaluable instruction and mentorship to these students, assisting them in their journey to becoming the next generation of health care workers. The outpouring of gratitude from these learners has be overwhelming. A big thank you to all of the staff who supported teaching and learning at Bridgepoint this term! “This is my first year joining Sinai Health and I’m grateful for all the help and support from my colleagues and managers. During a difficult time like this year, we endure the stress and unpredictable together. Especially my direct manager, Tina who has shown great compassion and kindness to each of our team members and made every effort to be available and supportive.”

Therapeutic Recreation department employee at a table with a gingerbread house giving a thumbs up“The Therapeutic Recreation department continued the annual tradition of building gingerbread houses with patients this year. Although it did not look the  same as previous years, the staff helped safely facilitate this festive activity. Thank you to Sobeys for the generous donation and to those staff who helped make this event a success!”
