Over the last several weeks as we have watched the COVID-19 situation evolve, a key principle of our planning and preparedness has been the safety and well-being of our people and our patients.

Sinai Health will be piloting active screening at our Bridgepoint and Mount Sinai (600 University Avenue only) campuses, effective Monday, March 16. We are aiming to roll this out to other Mount Sinai locations as soon as possible.

When coming to work, please consider the following:

  • Ensure you have your ID badge with you.
  • Plan for extra time to enter the building, especially at peak periods like shift change.
    • When you arrive, you will be asked to confirm that you are symptom free before you enter the building.
  • Consider bringing your lunch as you will need to be screened before each entry.
  • Have your manager’s contact information handy.
  • If you are feeling unwell, stay home and contact Occupational Health and Safety.
    • Mount Sinai x7425
    • Bridgepoint x2803

Below is some campus-specific information on access and screening. While we will make every effort to expedite entry to the building, we ask for your patience and understanding as we evolve and improve our screening processes over the course of the next few weeks.

Mount Sinai Hospital

Access will be through both the University and Murray Street entrances.

At 60 Murray, access will be through the main (east) entrance.

At OPG (700 University), access will remain the same, with the addition of screening prior to entry.

Please be ready to show your ID badge. By entering you will be confirming that you have self-screened for COVID-19 (cough, runny/stuffy nose, fever or sore throat).

Bridgepoint Active Healthcare

Pedestrian access will be through the Main Entrance off Broadview. There will be controls at the top of the parking ramp to monitor access into the parking garage. Please be ready to show your ID badge and give yourself extra time. The exterior doors to the Administration Building will be closed.
