Anesthesiology and Pain Management
Anesthesiology and Pain Management is home to an expert team of anesthesiologists and other pain specialists who deliver high-quality care to patients at Sinai Health and University Health Network hospitals.
At Mount Sinai Hospital, we provide pain relief during labour and delivery, surgery and other procedures. We also care for patients with complex, chronic and cancer pain.
Our obstetric anesthesia team performs more than 5,000 epidurals a year. We support one of the largest high-risk obstetrical units in the region and expertly manage complex conditions.
The Wasser Pain Management Centre is our renowned outpatient program for chronic pain conditions. It includes an outpatient pain clinic where a team of specialists work together to develop tailored plans of care for patients. It also includes specialized services for pain in pregnancy, pain after surgery and coping with chronic pain.
We are fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and a recognized leader in pain management education and research.
