We care for more than 34,000 patients each year. This care ranges from breast imaging, using our state-of-the-art equipment for breast screening, to the diagnosis of breast conditions, including breast cancer.
We integrate all aspects of breast care under one roof: screening, diagnosis, counselling and treatment. Our screening mammograms are offered as part of the Ontario Breast Screening Program.
Patients being treated for cancer have access to a wide-range of health care providers while under our care, including in the areas of: surgery, medicine, pathology, psychiatry, nursing, nutrition, social work, genetic counselling and more.
What to expect
Breast screening and assessment
Breast cancer is easier to treat when it is found early. We provide mammograms to screen for breast cancer as part of the Ontario Breast Screening Program.
Some patients may be referred by their primary care provider for other breast-related concerns. If referred, you may have diagnostic tests and see one of our breast surgeons.
Breast cancer care
If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, our interprofessional team will work with you to develop a care plan that is tailored to your needs.
Your care plan may include surgery, systemic therapy or radiation. Patients receiving systemic therapy, including chemotherapy, receive treatment at the Cancer Care Clinic.
As part of your treatment plan you may also receive psychosocial support, genetic counselling and nutritional counselling.
