Family Medicine Pregnancy, Delivery and Newborn Care
At the Granovsky Gluskin Family Medicine Centre, we have a special interest in pregnancy, birth and the care of newborns and children.
As family physicians, we deliver excellent care that considers your overall well-being. Our team of physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and midwives brings a range of expertise and a holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and newborn care. We take the time to get to know you and your family, building trust and tailoring your care to your specific needs and choices.
Our approach to care is grounded in the following beliefs:
- Care should be guided by safety and evidence-based practices
- Birth is a life-changing event; we strive to optimize safety and offer a range of supports
- Diverse cultural expressions of birth should be respected
- Informed decision-making, patient autonomy and dignity should be upheld
- Effective, clear and respectful communication is essential to good-quality care
We offer care throughout your pregnancy, from prenatal care and childbirth to postpartum support. We also welcome families without a family physician who are looking for newborn and well-baby care. If unexpected health issues or complications arise during your pregnancy, we can connect you with specialists and other health-care providers.
We are also committed to education and research that advances pregnancy, birth and newborn care.
