Certified diabetes educators (CDEs) are trained nurses and dietitians who specialize in diabetes education. They offer valuable assistance in managing health and navigating life with diabetes.
CDEs assess patients and teach them and their family members about diabetes. They also provide tools to support self-management.
CDEs also support and educate residents and clerks in diabetes management.

Mount Sinai Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. You may see medical students, residents or other medical trainees as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of the health-care team.
