Visiting specialists
Our visiting specialists provide care within the Family Health Team.
Nurse practitioners
Our nurse practitioners (NPs) assess, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medication. They also perform assessments and follow-ups for the Family Health Team.

Registered nurses
Our registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate care. They assess patients, provide health teaching and work collaboratively with other members of your health-care team in a variety of ways to support your health and coordinate your care.

Registered pharmacists
Our pharmacist provides expert medication management to support safe and effective patient care. The pharmacist conducts medication reviews, optimizes treatment for chronic diseases, provides patient education, identifies and resolves medication-related issues, and works closely with our team to improve patient outcomes and reduce medication-related risks.

Suzanne Singh
Registered social workers
Our social workers work closely with your care team in various ways to provide counselling and emotional support. They also help patients access community resources.

Victoria Canale
Family Medicine Pregnancy, Delivery and Newborn Care team
Our family physicians, nurses and midwives provide comprehensive, team-based care throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Our family physicians provide full prenatal care, attend labour and births in hospital, and support newborn care after delivery, alongside our interprofessional team.

Registered midwives
Midwives provide comprehensive primary and reproductive health care with a focus on pregnancy, postpartum and newborn health. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, they provide assessment, education, preventive care and ongoing support to improve the health and well-being of patients and families.
Registered dietitians
Dietitians provide nutrition assessment, education and counselling to support the prevention and management of chronic disease and promote healthy eating across the lifespan.

Learners
Mount Sinai Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. You may see medical students, residents or other interdisciplinary learners as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of the health-care team.
Clinic assistants
Many of our clinic assistants have training as medical laboratory assistants or technicians. They welcome patients, bring them into the department, take vital signs, assist with procedures, prepare exam rooms, manage lab samples and maintain infection control standards.
Administration
Our care team is also supported by medical secretaries, billing coordinators, chart room staff and administrative professionals. Their behind-the-scenes work helps ensure you receive seamless, high-quality care every day.
